What is it?
Our Fat Ball Feeder Ring is designed to hold up to six fat balls at one time. Its fun and eye-catching design makes it easy for garden birds to grip onto and allows more birds to feed at the same time.

How does it help?
Our high-quality feeder ring has been designed to fit up to six fat balls of bird food at one time. It can be easily hung on branches or garden posts so that birds can access it at any time. Fat balls are a popular and affordable favourite with a wide range of species and can be fed in a variety of ways.

Sean says:
"My fat ball feeder ring seems to be a favourite for woodpeckers, popping in every day and spending a good deal of time on the ring. Also, families of long tailed tits drop in from time to time. I suspect the shape and number of perching opportunities due to the wire welds attracts these birds. Whatever the reason, it`s a hit with the birds.”

Helpful – Caring – Responsible

When Sean McMenemy started Noah’s Ark Wildlife Gardens as a landscaping business back in 1991, little did he know what a huge impact he was to make on the bird feeding and garden wildlife industries over the following decades.

Over 30-years later he still brings the same passion for garden wildlife to work every day, so it’s no wonder we’re so highly respected. Our expertise lies in providing carefully selected natural food and products that offer significant benefits to wildlife – with the type of customer service only true enthusiasm for our subject can bring.

Meeting a demand for natural, nutritious wildlife food

In those early days, Sean constantly received requests for help in making his clients’ natural gardens more wildlife friendly. Requests for bird food encouraged Sean to research bird feeding, and at that time he found problems in the market with quality and service. He knew then the only way forward was to create his own natural, nutritious range of wildlife food and present it in a way which benefited both the wildlife and the customer. Ark Wildlife was born.

The company has steadily grown since those early days, now standing as one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of bird food and garden wildlife products, despatching over 500 parcels per day across the United Kingdom.

Exceptional service, because we care more than we can put into words

No matter how large our business is now, Ark Wildlife aims to combine the convenience of an online mail order outlet with the caring, helpful touch of a specialist shop. Our people make the difference. We take great pride in the energy, commitment and enthusiasm of our ever-growing workforce, still led by our inspirational driving force, Sean. If you read through some of Sean’s blog posts you will see how knowledgeable he is and how much he cares for the welfare of our wildlife.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I put Suet Balls in this feeder as well as the Premium Fat Balls.

Yes - this feeder is perfect for either the Premium Fat Balls, our Suet Balls with Insects and our Suet Balls with Sunflowers.

What birds will eat fat balls?

Many bird species enjoy fat balls, especially during colder months when extra energy is needed. Common birds that eat fat balls include tits, woodpeckers, finches, robins, sparrows, starlings and blackbirds.

How to hang a fatball feeder?

To hang fat balls for birds, place them in a suet or fat ball feeder. You can hang the feeder or a bird feeder pole or a tree branch. Make sure the fat balls are secure and easily accessible for the birds by hanging the feeder high off the ground. It’s best to place them in a quiet, sheltered area so that birds feel safe and comfortable to feed. For ground feeding birds such as robins, blackbirds and song thrushes, simply place the fat balls on a bird table.
